Thread moved into relevant subforum and re-named - I presume you are asking about context as the original thread name had something about 19th century in it.
I wouldn't advise though that you worry too much about EE1 at the moment - you have only done at the most, 1 text without an assessment yet. Grasp the context of Individual and Society first, come up with your own definition, ideas, then see how your view differs from the view in the book.
Then you can look at things like the your societys perspective (21st century Australian) as opposed to the books (19th century English). what kind of values, thought patterns and mannerisms are prevalent?
Then what about your own context? (Australian, teeange female) how does this differ to the characters in the book (i have no idea what they are) how does your context effect the way you look at things.
Ask simple questions first then do text analysis later. That way, you have a firm base to ground the analysis into.
