If you could do the HSC again which subjects would you change and why?

I do
Adv English
Maths
Chem
CAFS
S & C

I would change CAFS and S and C ( esp Cafs) because they are not straight forward subjects and they require a lot of waffling which gets boring after a while. In CAFS I am so sick of having to write heaps and heaps of crap that I already know and it is basically just common knowlege that you have to apply certain concepts to. And it takes so much time for the PIP and IRP. I wish I picked Bio and physics and 3u maths instead. They are straight forward subjects and require the type of thinking i enjoy more.

so one minute you're whinging that you dont get enough time to study, and in the next breath your saying you'd pick harder subjects that require oodles and oodles more study?

I did(in yr12) Further math (???NSW equivalent), Health & Human Development, Psychology, Biology, PE, and of course Eng.

I was going to do yr11 chem but changed my mind at the 'last minute'. Not b/c I struggled in yr10 chem, guess I thought yr11 would be so much more difficult + the perception that PE would be easier. Certainly doing chem would have helped me with what I'm doing at the moment.

Mm. I dunno if I'd change my subjects. I did
Std English (Dropped from Advance cos I didn't like the teacher)
M History
A History
S & C
Vis Art

I spose I'd have stuck with Advanced English, because I did really well at Standard and I think my UAI would have been better if I'd done advanced.

I'm doing ancient history, adv eng, gen maths (did 2u in year 11), society and culture, and community and family studies, and i did modern history in year 11. If i could change it, i would have dropped ancient history instead of modern, did legal studies instead of cfs, and probably stuck at 2u maths a bit longer, could have done better if i tried harder!

You are right. I suppose I would just like to do them...you know, enjoy them more. Chem does require a lot of study so probably the other sciences would too. These subjects are probably suitable for my situation.

I wish I was doing my HSC at TAFE though, cos I am sick of the school environment.

I would have dropped legal in yr11 and switched to chem or visual arts!
