Hiiii,
For our half yearly first Wednesday after the holidays, we have the English AOS exam.
We've been given 3 possible questions, one of which will be the actual question, and we'll be required to write a 50 minute response.
I've got a sort of generic essay going, but was just wondering if anyone could give me some important pointers on the different questions.

They are;
1] "When we travel, we often focus on our destination at the cost of other aspects of the journey"
Discuss this statement, focusing on how composers of texts represent the concept of the journey.

2] More than anything else, imaginative journeys are about the process of speculation.
Do you agree? Argue your point of view.

3] Texts may show up that the world of imaginative journeys involves unexpected destinations.
To what extent do the texts you have studied support this idea?

And at the end of each it tells us to use the prescribed text (Coleridge) and two related texts- for me, Alice in Wonderland and Wizard of Oz.

So if anyone has any advice on the different styles of the questions, that would be great. So far I haven't had to argue anything in english, so that's a tad daunting.
Anyway, any help is appreciated =)

Merry holidays.
x
