I went and bought one of the books relates to the Dungeons and Dragons fantasy series called the The Savage Caves by T.H. Lain. I was wondering whether this book would be ok to use as a novel for an imaginary journey.

of course its ok! d'oh.

Only thing is, can you find appropriate techniques?

I mean any fictional book is a imaginative journey. ANY at all, as it creates a world that is not real in your mind. But not every book is appropriate to use as the techniques can be very :-\'ish

Definitely perfect! Definitely an imaginative journey. If you have trouble with the techniques you can always resort to talk ing about characterisation, the way the text is presented dialogue (or lack of) etc.

I havent read the book though so I have no idea...

I'm not sure that's such a good idea, since both come under the category of 'Fantasy' writing... wouldn't it be wiser to choose two texts less related by genre?
