umm it personally wouldn't be my first choice, but I can see how you could, I spose... because he begins to read and therefore is allowed to take an imaginative journey into other worlds? and the wife and her reality tv etc?

Yeah - and the responder undergoes an imaginative journey into a created, yet possible world, allowing for the social evaluation of the direction of our own society. I think the book is a good choice becaue it actuallly has meaning behing the journey.

i dont really think it can be classified as an imaginary journey. It is just an insight into the future??

And that idea can be linked to Bradbury's social commentary. The text is an imaginative journey into a nightmarish future that is quite plausible. Through depicting this society, Bradbury urges the responder to prevent it existing in actuality.
