1st Economics assesment for the hsc,
and i have no idea.

chosen to do Switzerland,

need to know what to write on:
-pattern and direction of Trade,
-foreign investment
-labour flows
-financial flows,
-ownership of technology
-methods and extent of protection,
-policies promoting free trade,
-trade agreements.

and stuff like that...

by the sounds of it you already know what your essay is gonna be about. the approach you should take is a before/after one.... look at Switzerland before it globalised, then talk about how it globalised (FDI, trade, labour, etc), then compare the figures eg GDP of Switzerland before and after. you may also want to assess the impact of globalisation, eg is there a greater inequality of income? or greater dependence on the world, leading to shocks in the domestic business cycle during global downturns? also look at how the quality of life has improved, eg with human development index figures. that should cover all aspects of the question.

i wouldn't write my essay on the swiss. I know you want to diversify from the usual countries like China and India but there is HEAPS of info of them. Otherwise have a crack at Ireland
