hi all, I hope you’re well. I wanted to reach out for some advice regarding my current study situation. Technically, I’m in my third year of study, but it’s taken me four years to get here because I initially started a different degree and ended up dropping it partway through.
Lately, I’ve been finding it really difficult to keep going with my current course due to some external issues, and I feel like I need a fresh start. I’m wondering if it’s normal for students to transfer units or even whole degrees around the third year mark, and whether that would give me the clean slate I’m looking for.
I’ve already submitted an application through UAC, but I’m unsure how likely I am to be accepted given that my WAM is sitting around 55–60 at the moment. Would anyone be able to give me some insight into how realistic a transfer at this stage is, and what my chances of being accepted might look like? I am aware of credit transfer and all

I think you need to think through things. What field are you going to do? What are the applicants numbers like for the job or industry you are interested in.

I don't even have my WAM on my resume. In short, there still may be potential, but you need to give everything now your best shot. Consider developing some industry skills if applicable

So what field (IT, software, mechanical) is the internship. You don't have to respond if you don't want, but what is the problem you are having with the internship.

I think the good thing is you are getting technical experience.

It is hard for me to say what job market of electronics is like, but perhaps you can do some job application see applicant numbers on Seek.
