I was a bit late to discover this but Campbell McComas passed away in January.
For those of you who have seen the painting at Monash University, he created a huge reputation after hoaxing more than 400 people at Monash University in 1976 by portraying a famous Cambridge law professor, Granville (Glanville) Williams.
Others may have known him as the chair in the comedy debates or as other impersonators.
