Has anyone read the book and did the film exceed expectations or was it a let down?
I waited two years to see it because I've read the book about a million times and I absolutely love it. After seeing how rubbish the trailers for the film were I wasn't expecting much. It turned out being a fairly decent film so I was actually really happy. Sure it didn't follow the book the majority of the time but that never happens with any book turned into a movie. I think the characters at least were perfectly portrayed, especially Paul Bettany as Dustfinger.
