They just stopped for a couple of seconds then kind of built back up into the song, from drums then bass then guitar. At least I think thats what happened. And I nearly caught a drumstick but then some chick grabbed it off me

Yeah Interpol were great, it was expected, we knew they wouldn't let us down. The encore was really good....Untitled was my highlight, wished they played NYC. But still the OWNED last night!!! I saw them last time the came to Sydney in '03 and it looks like the have improved their live shows!!!

... and how awesome were the lighting effects?!, made for both visual and musical pleasure.

I was a little upset at the setlist - Melbourne got Specialist, The New AND Obstacle 2.... Oh well, they played awesome and the crowd was really good. Paul was actually smiling a lot throughout the gig and Carlos (who was right in front of us) was showing off, I LOVED the gun holster. Very hot.

Ahhh, Paul was so good-looking too. Very good looking. And yes, Liss, Sam's drum solo was awesome! We must go to the Sun show...

Also, anyone here make it to the afterparty at Civic?

the similarities are not THAT strong. i'm sure joy division are an influence (and they are a better band), but jeez.
