Francophile BOSer meet-up.
To get the French brains working for the exam on the 28th on the Saturday, what does everyone think of the idea of a French meet-up somewhere next week? Somewhere as central to all available as possible. A little rendez-vous specially so we can speak French .
At the moment I am thinking two ideas. I know these are wretchedly Sydney-based, but if there are any other suggestions please add them! Maybe we could even train it to the Blue Mountains or Newcastle or Wollongong, depending how everyone adventurous we all are!
1) Meet Thursday, 26 August at about 5pm at the Alliance française, to meet in their 'Grand café', which advertises itself as a lovely convivial atmosphere to meet, drink and be merry. There will also be native French speakers there that would probably be willing to have a natter so this might be really good. On Thursday the Café is open until 7pm ish I think. Here's a link to the site http://www.afsydney.com.au/content/lang__en/tabID__3348/home/grand_cafe.aspx .
257 Clarence St, Sydney. The second street west of the QVB.
2) Meet Friday, 27 August at about 5pm at Gloria Jean's on Pitt St in the City, not the one in the Mall, the one near Town Hall.
3) Other suggestions? Thoughts and stuff. Post away!
Chépas.
