Hey,

Behavioural management theory organisational structure is flat or flatter right??
In the Chapman Business Studies Page 71, 'summary and comparison of managemnt theories' says that behavioural theory is hierarchical pyramid. The textbook is incorrect right?? ...Oh and for the levels of management, there is very little management levels as opposed to what's written 'many levels' right?
I hope that makes sense.

Thanks.

In the main body of the textbook, under the main "Management Theory" headings it says that Behavioural has a flatter structure and Classical-Scientific has a traditional hierarchical pyramid-structure. I'm guessing that is correct.

hyperbole:

Yes, i noticed that as well b/c I use another separate textbk which is the mac revision guides and they have behavioural as flattened and then our teacher gave us some handout abt the theories, so yes, the book is incorrect when it mentions in the summary that behavioural is hierarchical when it is in fact flattened. I'm not sure what you mean by the levels.
