Is there any kind of benefit of putting a course as 1st preference???????????????

Like, can they be a bit more lenient etc...


Or would it be the same with someone who put that as 9th preference

Yes, the benefit is that it is the first course UAC will look at - to see if you've met the requirements to get in.

You only get to see your acceptance for the highest one you get into. So if you would have been accepted into your 9th choice, but were also accepted into your 3rd, you won't know that you would have been accepted into your 9th.

Also, some places don't even consider you if it's not your first preference. Normally, you're told if this is the case, but it still happens.
