A know a guy who completely failed HSC (45~UAI) and few years down the track his working at as a civil engineer. He said he studied something at tafe and went to unsw.
how is it possible u go from tafe to such a high uai courses in unsw?

Civil Engineering is like 70-88 UAI really depending on UNI. It's not THAT high.

May be he studied his ass off at TAFE...and yeah...

Well there are options... after you are 21.. your UAI doesnt even matter anymore... so he could've got high results at TAFE then applied for UNI and then got in...
