Hello I'm currently doing first year engineering at unsw, and take the class higher physics 1a, now I'm not doing very well in it, so my question is, if I do, through some mircale of god or an adminisration error, happen to pass h. phys 1a this session, would it be a good idea to do higher pys 1b (another req of my degree) over the summer break, and substitute a 2nd year course (that I meet the prereqs for) in the 2nd session this year?

If you don't mind doing a summer course then there is no problem with taking that course of action ...
