I am asking this question for the member who has contacted me about this particular task.

Since I haven't learnt about this particular task, I thought it would be more appropriate if I ask you guys to help this member out.

This is question:

heyy ive got an assignment for english advanced nd for part 1 i need to do a speech heres the question
"you have been asked to present a speech to year 10 students that evaluates the appropriateness of Herrick's Lonsome Howl and one other text (not a poem) for an introductory seesion on stage 6 english that explores the concept of journeys". And for part 2 i have to write a narrative that creatively explores the concept of journeys
can u please please helpppp i really need help badly thanks very much

Well for the first part, I'd clearly outline the (I think three) aspects of journeys (I'm not too sure because Journeys wasn't my focus AOS) - imaginative, physical and emotional. Then you would analyse the text, clearly outlining and explaining how the text represents one or more of these types of journeys, REMEMBERING to include techniques. Also, don't make your speech sound like an essay, it needs to be engaging.

As for the narrative, just write a story which revolves around some form of journey - as in a physical journey, a journey of self-discovery or whatever you like. Make sure you emphasise a journey as your focus and don't be too cliched and don't be over dramatic. Also remember in creative writing, show don't tell.
