Hello future colleagues. I m ought to start a MA course in July next year in Business Information Systems. I have a dillemma. I hold a BS in Inf. Systems and Management and BA in Journalism and Communication. Thus, throughout my education I haven t had much concrete technical training (e.g. don t posses solid programming nor database skills). My ambition is to become a Inf. Systems manager. I am wondering how big barrier this lack of skills is to succeeding in my plans. I would prefer to focus on organising, coordination, budget control, needs assessment and strategy definition in the development of IS. Is it possible to stay on that level and do you think I have a chance for getting the job without the raw technical skills? Thanks. PS I have skills in networking btw if that helps.
