im a bit confused...ive applied to studied a combined bachelor of business/ bachelor of law...at a number of unis and hope to practice in criminal law...but looking at the 5 year course outline for law at macquarie university, it studies everything from tort law to criminal law...if criminal law is only one part of the course how do i eventually specialise if it is not the major focus?

I think when you do your electives you can select ones that are criminal law focused...or thats what you can do at UWS. Otherwise in a Post grad degree you can specialise more, as the undergrad degree doesn't leave much room for specialisation

I spent the whole time sitting, staring at the old structure that was falling apart with the massive chimney. How quaint it was.

The event wasn't what I expected it to be actually.. It was like a careers market.

Criminal law is very interesting to study but very boring to practise. Depends how good you are, the chances of having clients who pay for your service in criminal law is very low. Hey, you could work for criminals. Defending them so that they won't go to gaol.

There is no specialisation in an LLB.

Most law schools have advanced crim as an elective, but thats not a specialisation, its just an elective.

Theres only so much you can study about criminal law, the rest is left up to experience.
