Can anyone add to the "costs/practicality" of this battery, other than the fact that its rechargable? :rolleyes:

Cheers...

cost= really, really cheap to make

practicality= its pretty heavy, so not very mobile

but in another way, cars use it so if you drive it to
the place it is mobile

I dont have reliable equations for what happens
at the cathode/ anode, can someone pust them up?
(in the lead-acid cell btw)

Anode: Pb
Pb(s) + SO4^2- (aq)--> PbSO4(s) + 2e-

Cathode: PbO2
PbO2(s) + 4H+(aq) + SO4^2- (aq) + 2e- --> PbSO4(s) +2H2O(l)

Overall:
Pb(s) PbO2(s) + 4H+(aq) + 2SO4^2- (aq) --> 2PbSO4(s) +2H2O(l)
