Hello all, the HSC is fast approaching and although I am going to try my best to get the ATAR I need, I still think it wise to consider alternative pathways into the degree that I want should I fail in getting a sufficient ATAR. The course that I am after is B. International Studies @ MQ. I have read on the Macquarie University website that if you do a Diploma of Languages and do well enough it is possible to transfer into B. Arts.

Supposing that I don't make it into neither B. Int'l Studies or B. Arts @ MQ immediately, and have to resort in doing the Diploma, would I be able to transfer into B. Int'l Studies after already having transferred into B. Arts upon completing a Diploma of Languages satisfactorily?

I realize that I could just do a similar or the same course at a different university and transfer into MQ later, but upon reading that transferring within the same university is easier, I was just wondering if this option is also viable.

I'd think that the best way is to do something else at Macquarie, and then internally transfer.
