What are generally the effects of litearary allusions? Like quoting of paradise lost in Frankenstein. Or Blake's quote by Roy, in BR.

Composers use allusions to former texts to use the message of the earlier text, and endorse a similar allegorised fiction in their own texts.

For instance, Paradise Lost essentially talks about the notion of the tabula rasa and noble savage, which is also apparent in Shelley's text.
