Hi, I was just wondering if I was going to move interstate to monash and like rent, what would the costs there be?

it depends on which campus you'll be studying at, and what kind of accomodation you want.

clayton is the main campus and is cheaper than frankston, but more expensive when compared to, say, berwick or peninsula campus.

if you're at clayton, you can expect to pay anywhere upwards of $60 a week for a room in shared accomodation. I'd say the average rental price from what I've seen is around $100-120 for an normal sized single room of average condition.

On top of that you'll have to factor in bills like utilities and internet, and transport is an issue if you live a long way away from campus.

I think there's another thread floating around under the "Monash Uni" subforum where I've replied to a similar question so yeah have a search for that hopefully it shuold give you more info.
