So Holidays are over and its about to be 1st term of year 12 and I did NO study at all, my prelim results were horrid, and I don't know what to do, I told myself that I was going to lock in this holidays to catch up to a suitable level but fucked up and did nothing. I plan to drop ancient history and keep the rest what do you think? GGs Im cooked u think its still possible to catch up with all the content + yr 12 content

My prelim results
Physics: 20% or below
Math adv: 17.5% got this one back
English Adv: Probably below 30% didnt go last day for my results
Chemistry: estimate 20% or below I didn't go last day to get my result
Business studies: Felt better in this on 60%
Ancient history: below 30% didnt go last day to get the result

You've got two options:
A) drop to standard subjects
B) start consistently studying 9+ hours a day. if you're doing this poorly you're lacking the fundamentals and you'll need significantly more effort than everyone else to come back

not everything in year 11 is required knowledge for year 12 so i think you'll be totally fine as long as from now on you just put in the work consistently and polish up on topics you may have missed earlier
it should also be a lot easier to do stuff for your other subjects bc ur dropping ancient history
ur never completely cooked, and its very possible to catch up still

drop to math n english standard and just LOCK tf in for ur other subjects. considering ur dropping to 10 units it will be more manageable and u can utilise ur study periods / extra time to put in the work for ur other subjects

you only really need to catch up with maths, im not sure abt physics and chem cuz i dont do those but for math u really need to catch p since year 11 content is fundamental

if the contents too much for u, then drop to standard. if you believe you're capable of bringing your grade up, then i recommend starting with your year 11 math now

First day of year 12 was alright, I had math adv, physics and ancient, the physics lesson was scary and uneasy, the teacher always likes to pick on students to answer the questions which is good if you know the content but if you're like me its pretty embarrassing when you always respond with a guess or an I don't know, math advanced already diving into the content, ancient was free its not particularly hard compared to math or physics, you just gotta memorise information. Wish me luck in catching up and academic comeback thanks. I'll keep posting updates of my progess, I wish everyone good luck in their studies.
