LOTE: TAFE vs Uni. (1 Viewer)

Hi all. Just a quick question about languages. What's your opinion on doing a language at TAFE as opposed to doing a BA or dip. languages at Uni? I'm thinking of doing Japanese as a 'hobby' instead of a subject to broaden my career prospects so I don't really care about the formal recognition bit. What would be more useful, a dip. of languages or a Cert III/IV？

Any advice/trolling is appreciated

i think it all depends on what degree your doing at uni?

I'm doing a Bachelor of International Studies with French and Spanish

but there are languages I'd like to learn for a hobby.
So I'm going to do them at TAFE as its less serious
and if you don't care about the paper then TAFE would be fine.

i think anyway.
