could i get any tips to make the strongest electromagnec possible with ...
< 4 m of wire.. (remainder to make a coil)
unlimited 9v batteries
a 10cm steel rod
its for a DC motor ... so should i make 2 electromagnets? (North and south) or just one .. and hope its strong enough. but 4m isnt enough ...
found 10cm steel rod (apprently its 99.0653.. % iron) but one layer of insulation used up like .. half my wire and could only pick up 1 pin.
is it better to .. wrap less layers across an entire rod.. or wrap as many layers possible in a smaller area and concentrate the magnectism there? ... and the thickness. twice as thick wiring = double amount of layers ? .. yeayeyea? =D
where can i get soft iron? .. or iron bits.. bunnings? (nothing) .. plumber? ... or should a steel rod be enough.
:mad1: been thru like three 9v batteries already
