is this still used in NT and WA? There was a senate bill in 1999 that would invalidate all mandatory sentencing laws but i dont know if it was passed or not?

Apparently it still stands in WA in regards to property offences of adults, but mandatory sentencing laws in NT no longer apply.

I would use google to check up on iy. Im pretty sure there are still some instances of mandatory sentencing in both NT & WA, but Im certainly not 100% so Id check up on it.

yeh i think its only WA and only property and only adults

is it 3 days for first offence and 1 year for third?

oh no...i asked my teacher this 2 days ago, and he said that in 2001 NT and WA got new stae govs which abolished the mandatory sentencing law...so now apparently it doesn't exist at all..?? am i right? my teacher is a lazy dumbass

i thouguh mandotary sentencing still applies in nt for ppl over 18, the reason it was criticised was cause aborigines minors were sent there
