Hi evry1, i was just wondering do we REALLY need to know how to derive the sums angles and double angles stuff in trig, or do we just have to memorise the results???

just write it down, well, it's easy enough to remember, I don't think you would have to derive it, maybe except the sin^3x etc. double angles are basic enough

aight thanx..i cbb memorising sin 3 theta and shit so ill jus derive them only

yeah, just know the compound angle formulas and then the rest u can derive them on the spot....(thats if u can't b bothered to memorise the other ones)...for me, the formulas just stuck in my head after doing the excercise in the textbook.
