Hey guys, just wondering what 3u maths textbook your school prescribes. I go to an average school ranked usually between 200-350, so we get the maths in focus book, which is quite basic on most topics. Still our 2u class dropped from 25 in year 11 to 10 in year 12... go figure!

Cambridge is as good as anyone needs for HS.

I lol errytime I see a thread like this. My school provided MIF, but as you said it's too basic and can probably only guarantee a band 2. But there are ppl that used MIF and coupled it with plenty of past papers who got really high marks.

But don't use Maths in Focus. Instead use Cambridge :)

Jut use cambridge in class, and if your teacher gets offended, tell him/her "you are not the embodiment of MIF, so I can use whateva textbook I want"

lol

That was originally someone's quote but now I don't remember who said it

Cambridge! I don't get it, how much cheaper is MIF compared to Cambridge lol to get it instead?
Roughly the same tbh, price doesn't matter as long it provides you the tools to succeed, which MIF does not do as well as cambridge.
