hey is anyone doing mechatronics space engineering. i want to know what the course is like and what the future career options include. how many students do they take in sydney uni

That's exactly what I want to do! If you went to the USyd open day, there was info on both. Career prospect were limited in Australia, but not as bad as 'Aeronautical and Space'. Mechatronics is like an engineering, programming and electronics degree, so any of those three fields will have jobs for you.
EDIT: Im not in uni yet, and prbly wont get straight into space, transfer from Mech is my plan :p

Mechatronics space is exactly like mechatronics Normal, think of mechatronics space as a specialisation, ie you do a different project at the end of your degree.

During 2nd 3rd and 4th year some of your mechatronics units get replaced by space engineering units, but its very similar thats why you get mechatronics(space) instead of it being separate
