Med or Dent (3 Viewers)

Ok dilemma
I use to want to do Med
But I like the hours of a dentist..

thing is i like aspects of both courses and have nothin against either that makes me want to not do it..

i dun hav anything against looking into ppls mouths
and am aiming to one day.. do maxilliofacial surgery..

WAT SHOULD I ALSO consider in each field???

EDIT: same uni.. same distance...similar lengths..

Dentists only have a large graduate salary. It is far less than specialists in due course. Also, what bs government imposition u referring to? Bulk billing?? It's in fact safer to get cheques from the government. Money is a dangerous thing in the practice, you don't want it lying around with all those druggos out there.

And dude, how many MEDICINE VS everything else threads are there gonna be? lol, I started a trend...

wat if ure doctor/dentist uses drugs??? and yes i think we should hava MED Vs every other course offered by UNSW lolz

Dude - I strongly recommend you take medicine, like I told Frigid. You might be jazzed up about dentistry coz you didn't see this coming, but in the long run, you'll wonder "What if...?"

If you went for med first, ask yourself why.

Hehe, well that's like me saying 10 years down the track "What if I did Vet sci...what if I did Law??" Basically, you'll just have to live with it, but if you're enjoying what u do at the time, it doesn't really matter.

Try not to think of Undergraduate Medicine as "the Holy Grail" of degrees. It's just another career path, you should weigh it up as with anything else.

btw, i have a legitimate reason for wanting to use diazepam....very useful for rifle shooting....keeps u calm and relaxes ur muscles
