2. What is the quickest pathway in to medicine if I don't get a high enough Atar?
3. What is the most effective study method to prepare for UMAT?

4. Is UWS a good uni to transfer to medicine after a health science degree?
5. What is the most effective way to study smart for uni and get a very high GPA of 6+?
6. In Uni, there is a alot of lectures, how should I study in order to get HD in all my exams/assessments in my first year?
7. What is the best way to study for Uni, should I study the lecturer notes or should I use the textbook.
8. How should I plan my time to study effectively for Uni?

I want to study B. of health/master of podiatric medicine At UWS and then re-do UMAT. Then apply for medicine, How can I get a GPA of 5.5 in my first year, what marks would I need in each assignment?

Thanks, can I please get a detailed answer, as this would bne very helpful.

I will be honest with you. If you need direction to understand how to do every single little thing (including how to organise and plan......), you will no doubt fail medicine. Medicine is a self-directed course, you figure it out what works best for you. There is no "one" best way to approach things as everyone is an individual.

I will give you answers I think is reasonable. UWS is not a great university in general but if you want to practice medicine in Australia it makes no difference. Lecture notes are probably a good place to start for study as textbooks are over inclusive of information. Study past exam papers if you can.

A GPA of 5.5 is a credit average meaning 65. Do note universities usually modify marks to meet requirements. If 4% of people get HD and their quota only allows 3% then the bottom 1% of the HD people will receive a D instead as everyone's marks is scaled down. This is the same for D's and C's. There is no limit to passes. Getting 65 in assignments won't bold for you as assignments are usually easier to get marks you should aim for D+ for all your assignments. This may vary from course to course and university to university. I will be dead honest with you though. You will be competing with people who aren't the sharpest tools in the shed when you go to UWS (medicine not included), so if you still can't get a D in UWS you should reconsider your chances of getting into medicine.
