Hey!
I'm James, and I graduated the IB Diploma as dux of Carey Grammar with the maximum IB score of 45 (99.95 ATAR).
I am currently studying a Bachelor of Biomedicine at the University of Melbourne.
Subjects offered:
IB subjects:
-Higher level: Chemistry (7), Business (7), English Literature (7)
-Standard level: Chinese B (7), Maths (7), Physics (7)
-Theory of Knowledge (A)
General subjects:
-Maths (primary/secondary/year 7-10)
-Science (primary/secondary/year 7-10)
Other subjects may be possible upon request
Tutoring approach:
Study doesn't have to, and shouldn't be laborious. Efficiency and time-saving techniques that don't compromise quality are the cornerstones of my teaching style. As a tutor and a student not long ago, I hope to be authentic, approachable and perhaps a little too honest.
I like to tutor because it is incredibly rewarding to work closely with students and witness their improvement and development, but also because I genuinely enjoy the subjects that I teach (not kidding). A good tutor needs to be a strong communicator, have excellent interpersonal skills and also be flexible enough to adapt their teaching style to individual student requirements.
tl;dr? study shouldn't have to be difficult, let me show you how
Rates:
$50 p/hour for one-on-one tutoring $40 p/hour for group tutoring (2-4) or online tutoring
Location:
-Melbourne CBD (State Library/University of Melbourne/other areas)
-Eastern suburbs
-Travel possible upon request
