I had a royally stuffed up Year 11 & 12 due to a severe, chronic illness and ended up with a UAI of 81.25. I got into B Liberal Studies with the help of EAS.

Are there any special circumstances/loopholes/whatever under which the university will not count UAI towards the NRSL score required for transfer?

No, the SCATS (Uni version of EAS) only accounts for uni related problems. When you apply to transfer your EAS wont be accounted for.
