Mobile phone places on campus (1 Viewer)

I need to open a prepaid mobile account, preferably with virgin. I know there's an optus stand on bottom floor of wentworth, but is there anywhere else on campus that offers mobile services (any company)?

I am not that experienced with switching services try the Photoshop?!? they sell sim cards...

I don't know how experienced they are in opening up accounts, or even if they're able to. I'm not switching services, but opening up a new one (I got my own mobile though)

ah wells ...it's not compulsory to do it in uni, or is it? ... u can always go to some shopping centre near your place.

for prepaids, i think you just buy a starter pack, which has your sim and other goodies.

you plug it in your phone and call a number and they connect you, collecting details off you.

Is it easy to switch between prepaid companies and can you keep your number if you do?

umm...i dont know if virgin would allow that. but contact them through an email from their website.

with optus if u want to keep your own phone number its just a case o buying a particular type of pre paid pack...not sure about the others thou...the newsagency in went worth (around teh corner from donut king) sells pre paid stuff.....

Legislation is a great thing. It forces companies to allow you to transfer your existing phone number across to other networks

Optus sells a port pack. I'm sure other companies do something similar.

u can go to officeworks on the corner of parramatta rd and officeworks, they have prepaid starter kits and phones and all that stuff, its just near the vet buildings (or wallace theatre, sort of)
