I don't know if this is acceptable, but we actually didn't do a prac, we drew it (i think its ok coz the point says "or process information from secondary sources"). Our teacher gave us a sheet with a DNA double helix drawn on and it had about 15 bases...and we just drew a series of diagrams showing all the basic steps from the untwisting stage to a list of the amino acid sequence to finish.

thats basically it; if you've made a model of DNA out of pipecleaners, clay or even drawn one, you've covered the dotpoint.
