Was wondering is there a modern day movie of King Lear?
I doubt it, but i hope so!

... you know like Romeo & Juliet and Macbeth have been made into movies based and set in modern day society.

man! how awesome would that be! i love R&J - haven't seen the new Macbeth yet but i've heard its pretty good!

I don't think there is. I've been to several places, and they have modern representations of macbeth, R+J, Othello, A midsummer night's dream, but no King Lear!

I've been desperate enought to search through the internet, and have looked up "king Lear" on imdb to no avail...

I wish there was, though... would make my understanding of KL just that little bit better...

hey

i was looking through every single piece of paper my 2U teacher has given me regarding KIng Lear, and apparently there are 2 'modern interpretations' of lear. One is called "Ran" and the other is called "a thousand acres"( i think colin firth is in that movie).
