i really need to start on my modern history assessment
and i really need help on it
what i should write, the info, sources etc...... thanks for anyone for the help

here's the questions..

1. Describe the successes and failures of the wehrmacht ( german fighting forces) 1935- 45...
(800- 1000 word essay on it)




2.a. Discuss the different reactions of the U.S, britain, and Dutch to japanese militarism between 1937 and 1941.

b. To What extent did Japanese militarism cause the outbreak of war with the United States in 1941?

question 1 is reasonably straightforward, just describe so you ned a basic chronology of battles and a brief description of each. might want to do it campaign by campaign. in each battle look at wermacht equipment, troops, leadership and then any allied factors that influence it

for q2 i'd prob go with A. it looks to be the simpler question. talk about the embargoes. britains "appeaseing" of japan. support for china in the war, ie burma road and US not classifying it as a war so they could still supply china. 3 basic stances are britain tried to hinder japan but wouldnt openly oppose them due to their weakness in the region untill they had US backing. US had directly conflicting interests in china, both wanted control of it so was the one who instigated embargoes. DEI stood up to japan and objected from the start. they didnt giv in to jap bullying for oil but didnt have any military might to back that up when japan decided to use force

I would DEFINATELY go with #1, the others are not likely to be good practices for HSC questions, if you have a look at past questions. I dont know of any web links, all my info is in hardcopy only, but suss out the resources section, I got some great historiography from there and there are plenty of germany notes.
