"In this elective students compare how the treatment of similar content in a pair of texts composed in different times and context may reflect changing values and perspectives.

By considering the texts in their context and comparing values, ideas and language forms and features, students come to a heightened understanding of the meaning and significance of each text."

I understand the "similar content in a pair of texts composed in different times and context" part of the rubric but I'm still confused aboutmay reflect changing values and perspectives.

  • Does this mean "content" is different to "values and perspectives"?
  • If so, does that mean the rubric is about how different audiences/society viewed the similar content/ideas.
Any extra clarity would be greatly appreciated :)
