match point
(saw the trailer today and was very impressed! i didn't really know what it was going to be about from all the publicity it has been given as everyone has just been focussed on scarlett's breasts- they wield alot of power apparently)

the da vinci code
(the two leads are among my fav actors and who could forget paul bettany)

Aquamarine (it was filmed in australia and has some aussie actors in it)

Capote ( I wanna see just how "good" hoffman was)

Candy (Abbie's come a long way since Life Support)

Lady in the water (GIAMATTI!!!!)

Transamerica (it involves a road trip which is always fun)

March of the Penguins - morgan freeman + penguins anyday.
A Cock and Bull Story - winterbottom is britain's best director.

i hate de palma

CONFORMIST. de palma has long been one of america's finest autuers, and has made more great films that fincher, s. coppola, pt & wes anderson combined.

but otherwise i agree with your list.

apart from what's been mentioned and stuff without release dates, i'm hanging for:

brick (just. watch. the. trailer)
cache (michael haneke is awesome, and the trailer is super-creepy)
a history of violence (CRONENBERG!)
hustle & flow (supposedly the best hiphop movie ever made; interested to see terrence howard's oscar-nominated performance)
the ice harvest (got mixed reviews, but reliable sources tell me this is a bonafide authentic neo-noir, something that is rare in hollywood nowadays)
final destination 3 (honestly, #2 is one of the most entertaining films ever made)
the three burials of melquiades estrada (i like arty westerns. this looksa bit like the proposition, which is a good thing)
snakes on a plane (snakes on a plane)

i'm also seeing keane this weekend @ dendy newtown's indyvision fest; heard it's awesome & can't wait. and an advance screening of capote, if i can find the time. i like movies.

i thought heavenly creatures was wonderful! i think he will do a marvellous job with the lovely bones, if he doesnt fuck up his chances with some dumb casting choice eg Adrien Brody and Dakota Fanning...

Brick's received some pretty negative reviews, but the few scenes I've seen looked really interesting.

Cache, A history of Violence, Hustle and Flow are all pretty good, I saw them sometime ago.

The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada sounds like a bit similar conceptually to The Straight Story..which admittedly I wasn't a fan of. I'll download it after season 3 of Scrubs though
