Must we reference our statistics in exams??? my teacher told me we had to, but I've never heard that anywhere else

From what I hear it's definitely a good idea...it gives your statements credence. I think you have to if you want top marks. If you just couldn't be bothered, though, fair enough. ^^

it would be good to, to give your writing and extra oomph (lol). and if you do, i guess you should put it in brackets after your stats like this:

22% of women aged....(ABS 2007) or something like that
