My Computer Is RETARDED (1 Viewer)

Well like the title says my computer is RETARDED...
I think I have a virus because everything has slowed RIGHT down and my CPU Usage is like 100% and its all just whack and my norton isnt pickin anything up and took over 2 and a half days to do the whole scan... going through the night and detected all this stuff but nothing got deleted...
Is there some microsoft anti spyware you can download
i dont know if thats my problem but its driving me insane but i cant use my computer which has all my work files an i am stuck on my parents with none of my stuff to reference to...
OH I NEED HELD

i cant even open anything
like i have that open but it wont change from the tab its on oh its driving me crazy but there is no way i can get onto the internet to run that thing

Spybot - Search and Destroy.. as the name suggests, it searches ur entire comp n sedtroys bad files

wow that sounds pretty bad. try running an antivirus program in safe mode (safe mode is basically when your computer is running the least amount of programs possible)... restart your computer, and when it's booting up (before the windows xp screen pops up with the moving bar), keep pressing f8. and choose safe mode (without networking). run an antivirus program, and see if you can delete some of the things that might be causing some issues.

i used to play around with computers a lot, in a former life.

and it doesn't necessarily have to be a virus. i had that problem once too, and it ended up being realplayer's taskbar program that starts up whenever windows does.

the realplayer problem? well, my computer wasn't completely unusable so i could check out the task manager (ctrl-alt-del).

well mayb in the future you should down load Windows Anti Spyware, its best thing i have ever seen. If that coems clean then you know that you have two conflicting software packages
