They are actually 2 separate and distinct "things" ie whilst they appear to be the same, theyre not.
Purpose = the "why are we here" stuff. Varies from tradition to tradition, culture to culture eg higher purpose, guardians of the earth, to populate the earth, values. morals etc. *TRYS TO ANSWER THE BIG QUESTIONS* (usually from the earliest texts+ other texts)
Nature="how did we get here", what happens when we die etc (sorta like our "direction" in life/what happens when....)(combination of early texts-no need for interpretation as such)*Trying to answer the "simple" questions (but they are really big q/ so go figure)*
Yes, it is tied in with origin of human existence but in the context of the question(s) , the origins stuff really revolves around "creation" of which the human story is a little part.
(Need to really separate these two so they are not the same ie he focus is on creation)
(eg Judasim, the focus is on the 7 days of creation where 1 day is about ppl- your purpose stuff revolves around what happens after Adam and Eve + other writings from later on)

The nature of human life is the reasoning/purpose of how did we get here.

For the Hindu stuff, again try google but look at beliefs and texts as a start
Hope this helps.... (and is right!! The Nature of Religion is such a small part of the syllabus, usually gets brushed over so you can do the phenomeological approach stuff....)
