i cant find 28d)

but for 27b) QS squared = 5 squared - 4 squared
= 25 - 16
= square root 9
QS = 3
SP squared = 7 squared - 3 squared
= 49 - 9
= square root 40
=6.3
Permiter = 7 + 4 + 5 +6.3
= 22.3 cm

ii) sin angle QPS
=3/7
angle QPS = 25.37 degrees
= 25 degrees to nearest degree

c ii) 150/3 (0+4x86=0)
= 17200
btw... u dont have to do the 0's , their just there to show you that there is no value. to get the 86 in the middle i just did 200- 77 - 37

good luck

Question 27 (b)

(i) Drawing up a table of possible outcomes will help.
P(no 6) = 25/36

(ii) Financial expectation = (20 x 1/36) + (2 x 10/36) + (–2 x 25/36)
= 5/9 + 5/9 – 1 17/18
= – 5/18
= –$0.28
Dale can expect to lose 28¢ per game on average.

Question 27 (c)

A large, neat diagram will help in this question.

(i) tan 65 = AB/15
AB = 15 tan 65
= 32.16760381
= 32.2 m

(ii) Since AB = BC, BC = 32.2 m
So AC = 64.4 m
Therefore EC^2 = CA^2 + AE^2
= 64.4^2 + 15^2
= 4372.36
EC = 66.12382324
= 66.1 m

Question 28 (d)

Using the straight line graph, after 2 years the salvage value is $400.
Now using the declining balance method we have:
S = V(1 – R)^n
400 = 800(1 – R)^2
0.5 = (1 – R)^2
1 – R = 0.7071067812
R = 0.2928932188
= 29.3% p.a.
