Do you guys think that NESA would actually prescribe a text type for mod C? I know that there's no definitive answer but I just need to here any info people have. I feel like if it were to happen, they would prescribe a creative / imaginative. Obviously you are meant to be taught all of the text types, so inherently there is no reason why they couldn't. But surely they wouldn't fuck over people who prepare the other two. Unless I'm wrong, they haven't prescribed yet which makes me so scared. What if they prescribe a discursive??

yes they can prescribe a discursive (or a persuasive), i know last year the people in my grade were worried about that. though most years i’ve noticed they let you pick between discursive or imaginative or persuasive.
they prescribed a creative back in 2020 (either 2019 or 2020 but definitely either one of the two years). no reflection either it was just 20 marks imaginative. theoretically if they hated your cohort they could even prescribe an informative since that text type is specified in the rubric but most likely if they were to prescribe it would be a discursive or an imaginative (the latter of which has already been done)

that is genuinely petrifying. Hopefully they don't prescribe for just one more year.
