This diploma program has been designed by the Faculties of Engineering and Science as an enabling program that provides a flexible pathway for students who have a range of gaps in their assumed knowledge and do currently not meet the entry requirements for B Engineering or B Science at UNSW. Students who achieve a credit average in the Dip SET will be permitted to transfer to B Engineering and B Science programs in the Faculty of Engineering and will be eligible for advanced standing for courses successfully completed that form part of the Bachelor program. Those enrolling in the Dip SET with the intention of seeking admission to a Bachelor of Engineering program must undertake the Mathematics and Physics sequences.
To be competitive for entry to the Dip SET applicants must have a UAI or equivalent of 75.00. Applicants with a UAI or equivalent between 75.00 and 87.95 will be considered for entry under the Faculty of Engineering Admission Scheme (FEAS). See www.eng.unsw.edu.au/feas for details.
