Does anyone have the new Jacaranda for HSC physics? Are there significant changes to the new one? I bought an old one (second hand) one from some 2003er. Tell me it doesn't change too much so that i won't have to get it. ATM, the old one is doing fine and i can find most of the stuff needed to answer the dot points.

Well the syllabus changed a bit (in order) with some bits cut out, but those ones added are pretty easy to do. So it should be fine.

it will only have old stuff taken out, eg 4th DP of space and the new sections added on.

i seriously doubt they would rewrite all the content.

If there is a new jacaranda... more would have been taken out than put in
since the physics syllabus was simply shortened by the board

A stuent like me tries to learn the absolute bare minimum to do well :) - reason being I had to cram learning 2 entire topics without any prior knowledge, 2 weeks between my half-yearlies :(

yeh i've got the new one....i had a look thru the old one....comparing both of them...the newer one is just edited to take into account the changes in the syllabus...i guess its easier for us so we dun hafta go though it and pick out the bits we no longer need to know...but u should be fine with the old one...just check ur syllabus b4 u learn it

Or you could just do dot point summaries and learn from them. The extra information wont rot your brain or anything, well looking at '03ers it might.
