New Year's Eve Family Fireworks Melbourne (1 Viewer)

I'm hoping someone can help...
I know that there are fireworks in town at 9.15pm for families but I don't fancy battling the crowds in there with my fiancee to watch them.
Anyone have any ideas on where would be a good spot to view them from around Melbourne?
I was thinking up on Mount Dandenong (at the Sky High carpark), which is not far from both of our suburbs , but I'm not sure if we'd see much from there.
Any other suggestions?

Haha oops a bit late now but one other suggestion is to rent an apartment (or find someone who has one) near the city and just watch it from the rooftop. I did this with my gf last night and it was like a private rooftop party (since noone else was up there)!
