When doing mechanics question, and it asks to find the force, the answers in the Fitzpatrick book are sometimes N and other times kg wt, in the hsc, could u get marked down if you put it in say kg wt and not N?

Thankx heaps guys

I doubt it, but always use N to be on the safe side ...

I would always put it in N as thats the SI unit for force, however, theres nothing stoping you from doing your working in kg wt and then timesing it by 9.8, although I think when specifically using gravitational force kg wt is also a SI unit.

They never really ask for force in numerical values anyway.
