the number of my posts hasn't changed despite the fact that i've posted several times. It keeps staying on the same number. Is this just me or has anyone else experienced such a problem?

yep that's the original reason they took away post counts in NS. people posted randoms and it wasn't being controlled. now any threads full of spam can just be moved there resulting in less spam in the other areas as well.
