Having never read it, I don't know. If you wikipedia it though it's got a breakdown of the content, saves you reading it trying to find out.

Do you mean the official annals of Rome held by the pontifex maximus, the so-called Annales Maximi?

Or do you mean the text by Tacitus, Annales (The Annals).

... Have you tried a library? :p USyd and MQ libraries are sure to have it. Wouldn't be surprised if the state library has it, as well.

Yeah i live rural bout ( 2.5 hrs from syd)lol i've combed all the local libraries, i mite have to take a trip to sydney lol...thanks 4 your help

Tacitus's Annals does touch on military events - i think there were even chapters dedicated to emperors and the army (but i can't clearly remember).
